Author's Note: When I began writing this story years ago, I could count on one hand the number of fics that didn't center around Klaus and Dorian in a romantic drama or comedy. I wanted to write a fic that gave some of the other wonderful characters in Eroica a chance to shine. Not that I don't love Dorian, or the pairing of Klaus and Dorian. However, I believe that the manga provides several instances that backup Klaus and Z pairing, and I wanted to explore that option. Some people don't like this. I've been told it's not a "true" pairing, and that it's not realistic. As the years have passed, I've been very glad to hear a number of positive responses to my branching out.
